Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas (Tizi n'Tichka 2,260m) – Kasbah Telouet – Ounila Valley – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Skoura Palm Oasis
Your 2-day Atlas adventure begins with morning pickup at 08:00 AM from your Marrakech accommodation. Travel south into the High Atlas Mountains, winding through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters) with regular panoramic photo stops.
Turn off the main road onto the scenic Ounila Valley trail to visit the extraordinary Kasbah Telouet, the historic mountain fortress of the Glaoui pashas, adorned with magnificent zellige tiles, carved cedar wood, and stucco.
Continue down the colorful Ounila canyon to reach Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, an ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site that controlled the trans-Saharan salt caravans. Wander the historic mud-brick ramparts with a local guide and savor lunch on a panoramic terrace.
In the afternoon, travel past Ouarzazate into the serene Skoura Palm Oasis. Arrive at your charming guesthouse (Dar Panorama), where you can relax by the garden and enjoy a home-cooked Berber dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Skoura Palm Oasis (Kasbah Amridil) – Ouarzazate (Taourirt Kasbah) – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Wake up to peaceful birdsong in the oasis. After a fresh breakfast with warm bread, local jams, olives, and mint tea, take a guided stroll through the Skoura palmeraie to visit the famous 17th-century Kasbah Amridil, one of Morocco’s most iconic living fortresses (featured on the former 50-Dirham banknote).
Next, drive to Ouarzazate, known as Morocco’s cinema capital. Visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah, explore the film studios where biblical epics were created, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, begin your scenic return journey across the High Atlas Mountains, taking in new perspectives of the jagged mountain peaks in the soft afternoon light. Arrive back in Marrakech by early evening (around 18:00 – 18:30 PM), with direct drop-off at your hotel or Riad.
