Day 2: Rabat – The Artistic Streets of Chefchaouen
After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, we depart Rabat and head north toward the Rif Mountains. Our journey takes us through the lush landscapes of Kenitra and the Gharb region. We eventually arrive in Chefchaouen, often called the “Blue Pearl.” Founded in 1471 as a small fortress to fight Portuguese invasions, it later became a refuge for Jews and Moors fleeing Spain. Today, the city is famous for its bright blue-washed buildings and peaceful atmosphere. You will have the afternoon to explore the winding alleys of the Medina, the Outa el-Hammam Square, and the Kasbah Museum.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Roman Volubilis – Imperial Meknes – Fes

- Al-Quaraouiyine University: Founded in 859 AD, it is recognized by UNESCO as the world’s oldest degree-granting university.
- The Tanneries: Watch the ancient leather-dyeing process from a balcony overlooking the colorful stone vats.
- The Madrasas: Admire the Bou Inania or Al-Attarine madrasas, with their intricate cedar carvings and stucco work.
- The Mellah: Explore the Jewish Quarter and the Royal Palace’s golden gates.
Day 5 : Fes–Marrakech
On the final day of our journey, we begin the return trip to Marrakech. This is a scenic drive that showcases Morocco’s diverse geography. We will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the charming town of Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine architecture. We will also pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can spot the native Barbary macaques. After a stop for lunch in the agricultural center of Beni Mellal, we continue across the plains to the “Red City.” We will arrive back in Marrakech by late afternoon or early evening, where your 5-day imperial cities and blue pearl tour concludes at your accommodation.
