Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Errachidia → Erfoud → Merzouga

The last 600 meters of the gorge are especially picturesque, the track is flat and stony, in some places it is no more than 10 meters wide and bordered by vertical, smooth rock faces.
We then head to the Rose Valley and on the way we pass through the village of Kella Mgouna which is characterized by rose farming. At this time of the year specifically in April and May, roses are in full bloom and their fragrance fills the whole valley. Moving on the road of thousand Kasbahs, we will reach the Skoura Oasis where we will have night accommodation into the middle of the palm grove full of Kasbah’s nuance. This walled town, is among the oldest structures in the region, and was an important trading post in the 11th century during the trans-Saharan trade. We then proceed over the high Atlas Mountains on this twisted road.
