Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas (Tizi n'Tichka) – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Depart early morning (07:30 AM) from your accommodation in Marrakech. Climb through the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m altitude), enjoying breathtaking panoramas of winding mountain roads and terraced Berber hamlets.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous clay ksar and backdrop for films like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Enjoy a scenic lunch overlooking the Ounila River.
In the afternoon, travel through Ouarzazate, the Skoura palm oasis, and the fragrant Valley of Roses, arriving in the dramatic red-rock canyon of the Dades Valley.
Overnight: Traditional hotel/kasbah in Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tinghir – Erfoud – Merzouga & Erg Chebbi Desert Camp
After a fresh breakfast overlooking the cliffs of Dades, drive towards Tinghir to explore the monumental Todra Gorges, where 300-meter sheer limestone cliffs tower above the crystal-clear river.
Continue east through the palm-filled Tafilalet oasis and the fossil capital of Erfoud. By late afternoon, reach the desert outpost of Merzouga at the foot of the golden Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
Embark on an unforgettable sunset camel trek across the undulating dunes to your authentic Sahara desert camp. Savor a traditional Moroccan feast, gather around the campfire for live Berber drum music, and admire an endless canopy of stars.
Overnight: Private tent at Merzouga Sahara Camp (Standard or Luxury ensuite upgrade available).
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Sunrise – Rissani – Draa Valley / Alnif – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
Awaken early to catch the magical sunrise painting the Sahara dunes in shades of gold and amber. Enjoy breakfast at camp before a morning camel ride (or 4×4 transfer) back to Merzouga village.
Meet your private driver and begin the return journey via the holy town of Rissani, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. Cross the rocky volcanic plains of Alnif and the scenic palm groves of the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains one final time, arriving in Marrakech by early evening (around 19:30 – 20:00 PM), with direct drop-off at your hotel or Riad.
